BUYERS & SELLERS

The 30-year fixed is holding in the mid-6.60s to high-6.70s, essentially flat from last week’s one-year high. No relief yet, but no further climb either.
Grants Pass’s absorption rate, a measure of how fast homes are being bought up, actually improved: 4.93 months of supply in June, down from 5.79 a year ago. Prices softened, but inventory is moving faster than it was in 2025, not slower.
The gap between average and median days on market tells the real story: the typical well-priced home sold in 20 days, while the average climbed to 63, up 14.6% year over year. A handful of overpriced listings are dragging that average up while everything else moves fine.
INVESTORS & DEVELOPERS

Oregon landed $15 million in federal funding for a statewide semiconductor research and workforce consortium. Southern Oregon’s stake isn’t a new factory here, it’s workforce training and supply-chain work for local manufacturing and engineering firms as the industry grows.
Josephine County granted a 60-day due diligence extension to a prospective buyer of the county-owned Dimmick Campus, giving the deal more runway to close.

Cycle Oregon Rally rolls into town August 28 through September 2, with about 600 riders based out of Grants Pass and Jacksonville and camping at Riverside Park. Real visibility for the town’s growing outdoor-recreation identity.
