The Senior Transition Program

A structured program for older homeowners in Grants Pass and the Rogue Valley, and for the families helping them decide.

A later-life move runs on a different clock than an ordinary sale. The timeline gets set by a health change or a care opening rather than by the spring market. Legal authority often sits with a trust, a power of attorney, or an estate. Sons and daughters are frequently coordinating from three states away. The Senior Transition Program organizes the housing piece into one sequence, beginning at your kitchen table.

What’s included

Jamie holds the SRES designation from the National Association of Realtors, an uncommon credential in this market. This program is built around what that training covers, and it reaches well past where a standard listing appointment stops.

  • Kitchen Table Visit: thirty free minutes at your house, or a café if you prefer.
  • Home Value Picture: what the house is worth today as it stands, and what it would bring after specific repairs, with the cost of those repairs subtracted.
  • Options on Paper: sell, hold, rent, gift, or stay and modify, each one written out with the money attached to it.
  • Oregon Program Check: the state property tax deferral, subsidized in-home care through Oregon Project Independence, and grant money for ramps and grab bars, each with its local contact.
  • Legal Authority Coordination: trust sales, powers of attorney, and probate, worked alongside your attorney or fiduciary so the paperwork holds.
  • Family Updates on Your Terms: you choose who hears what and how often, and that list stays yours to change at any point.
  • Vendor Coordination: senior move managers, estate sale teams, contractors, and cleaners, scheduled and supervised through one point of contact.
  • Downsizing Support: a room-by-room plan for a household of forty years, paced to your energy rather than to a listing date.
  • Distance Family Support: written updates on a set cadence, electronic signatures, and local coordination for sons and daughters living out of the area.
  • Direct Access to Jamie: the same person from the first coffee through the last box, answered personally.

How it works

First visit: Jamie comes to your house, or meets you at a café, for thirty minutes. You describe what is changing and what concerns you. She asks questions and listens.

The plan: You get the house valued and the options written out, each with the money attached to it. Every Oregon program that fits your situation gets identified by name, with its local contact. Some families sit with this for a year before doing anything. That is a normal place to pause.

Preparing: Vetted local vendors handle repairs, cleaning, and sorting on a schedule you set. Jamie manages them, so you keep one phone number.

The sale: Listing, showings, and negotiation run with your attorney or fiduciary looped in wherever legal authority requires it, and with family updated on the cadence you chose.

After the move: The equity gets explained in writing, so the next decision gets made with the actual numbers in front of you.

If you want it in writing

The Senior Transition Session runs 45 minutes and produces a written Transition Plan: your property valued, every option compared on paper, and a suggested way forward specific to your family and your timeline. It costs $200.
