Not All Acres Are Created Equal

Homestead and rural property expert, Josephine County Oregon

Here’s my read: this is the one people assume rather than check.

Five acres on a listing sheet can mean flat, cleared, fertile ground. It can also mean steep hillside, heavy rock, or forest that would need real clearing before anything could grow. The acreage number tells you size. It does not tell you what that land can actually do.

Soil quality, sun exposure, slope, and how much is usable versus simply there all matter more than the total acreage once you’re picturing animals, a garden, crops, or timber.

Before you commit, it’s time for us to walk the parcel with exactly your plan in mind, not just the listing description, and find out what the land can actually support.

Questions? Let’s talk.
